It’s back!

Stephansson House Provincial Historic Site is hosting its 17th annual Poetry at Stephan’s House, on Sunday, July 24th from 1pm-4pm.

Join us for our annual celebration of poetry and the magic of words! Enjoy a variety of poetry related activities and crafts. Share your poems inspired by the theme of “hope” at our open mic starting at 2:00pm. Come feed your soul!

Stephansson House celebrates the life and work of Stephan G. Stephansson, who made his home in the Markerville area in 1889. Widely regarded as the greatest Icelandic poet since the Middle Ages, Stephan G. Stephansson is best known for Andvokur, or “Wakeful Nights,” a six volume set of poetry.
